Welcome to the Krouse House. My husband and I recently purchased historic “Echo Hall” a 165 year old farm house in Grimsby, Ontario after an exhaustive search for the perfect rural property. For the past 15 years we have lived in a new build, open concept house but have been yearning for more outside space for the kids and eventually a dog.  Before starting our family we lived in some great old homes in the city and have really been missing the character of an older home. The best part is; we found it around the corner! Our perfect farm house right in the middle of town.

Design enthusiast and Registered Nurse by day,  I am always on the lookout for my next crafty project, once loved piece of furniture to revive or even just a really great chair. Always keeping in mind one of the most important lessons I learned from my mum …. “even the ordinary can be beautiful.”

My husband Bob is my perfect man. He’s super handy around the house, he’s the muscle and my tech support. An engineer by training; he does my bidding.   However, by far his best qualities: he has absolutely no interest in making any design decisions and he can cook! Oh, and he’s a pretty great dad!

Together along with our three kids,  we are going to make Echo Hall our home. We will do it with style and some fun. There’s a hot tub!  Moving day is the end September 2015.

I hope that you will find it as exciting as we do and find a reason to come back and visit.
